Lifts often serve as inspiring locations for contextual advertising ideas,but this campaign for the film Superman Returns is by far the most original. The lift doors show a man's hand as he starts to unbutton his shirt; when the door opens the iconic Superman symbol dominates a poster on the back wall. Through the motion of the lift, the visual plays on Superman's ability to fly.
Life Size Matchbox
Mattel placed giant(palm-up) hand stickers in parking spaces at toy shops. When a car was parked in a marked spot, it hlooked like it was being held in the hand like a tiny Matchbox toy.
Life is too Short to be Stuck in the Wrong Job
This ad appeared on freestanding vending machine sat busy metro stations in Berlin and targeted dissatisfied commuters on the way to work. Life-size images on people working away inside the machines drove home the message that life is too short to be stuck in the wrong job.
McDonald's Makeupyourmind.com Campaign
In Response to Morgan Spurlocks' fil Super Size Me, Mcdonald's featured an ad campaign that invited people to ask any question about their products. Through websites, television and print ads, Mcdonald's answered even the toughest and harshest questions , inluding "Is there really cow sperm in the burgers?' They revealed the behind the scenes on their 16,000 Bristish and Irish farms producing hamburgers that were 100% whole cuts of beef, no additives, and no fillers.
X-Men : Choose your Side
In line with their upcoming movie's storyline, an interactive poster for X-Men:The Last Stand invited passerbys to choose their side. X-Men or Magneto's(villain).
Nike : Henry Bicycle Kick
Football star Thiery Henry seemed to be using this famous Parisian Square as his training ground. An 80cm-long image of the star in action graced the wall of the building one one side of the square. On the opposite side, a gigantic, three-dimensional ball seemed to be crashing through the front of a building.
Jackass' Dummy
Since its debut on MTV, jackass has become synonymous with self-inflicted pain and gross gags. One week before the show started its infamous run on MTV, life size dummies brought the heart and soul of the programme to the streets, creating an illusion that real people were stuck in drains and bins.
Play Station 2 : Pushing The Buttons
The bust stop was compeletely covered with bubble wrap, with one of the iconic Playstation 2 symbols printed on every single bubble. Rather than talking to people about gaming, Playtation invited them to play. The pannel had changed every other day as people couldn't resist 'pushing the buttons'.
Scream Blood Bath
It looks like a massacre scene, but this fountain was merely encouraging people to watch the blood-drenched movie Scream on New Zealand television channel TV 3.
